The horizon,
And her tempting smile,
Tempting me,
And calling me for a life's while,
All I ever desire is man's soft touch,
The feel of his hearts warmth,
All I ever desire is such,
I knew it since the pear tree,
Laying as I was watch wind blow over the women,
Realizing in love I wish to be free,
I,
Janie,
only wish for this and only this..
I like how you explain janies dream
ReplyDelete@Raul yeah, I was aiming for a very "blue" tone, so hopefully you felt it.
DeleteWow you poem was very descriptive you did a good job in projecting Janie's dream. I just don't understand the ninth line, "Laying as I was watch wind blow over the women" what women?
ReplyDelete@Adriana Thanks. It's a metaphor for male dominance. The men just "blow" over the women like they have no purpose. I'm almost certain, also, that its an allusion to something Nanny said, but I can't find it.
DeleteThat was good i almost cried ):
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think she desires a man so bad (comment back on mine)
@Derick i'm glad you felt the blues :P she desires a man so bad because she feels compelled to pursue a fairy tail kind of love.
